Crossroads Ibogaine Treatment Center is run by a highly qualified, well-trained staff in order to provide you with the best care. We have extensive experience with ibogaine administration. Our ibogaine treatment program is all-inclusive—everything is taken care of once you arrive in San Diego. Ibogaine assisted detoxification is individualized according to the severity of addiction and the needs of every patient. The average stay at our facility is 7 days, while some treatments are extended to 10, accordingly.

Our beautiful treatment center is staffed and equipped to handle any medical emergency. We have board-certified physicians who specialize in cardiology working with us, along with registered nurses and EMT’s with medical staff on-site 24/7. Our cardiologists thoroughly screen patients before treatment at the prestigious Angeles Hospital and patient monitoring is provided around the clock by our qualified and compassionate nursing staff.

Crossroads Ibogaine Treatment Center is the only ibogaine treatment center that performs a full cardiac workup on all of our patients prior to treatment. This workup includes an EKG (electrocardiogram), an echocardiogram or a 24 hr Holter (depending on the needs of the patient), an in depth physical exam by a cardiologist, and extensive lab testing. The purpose of this testing is to make sure that patients are healthy for undergoing ibogaine detox.

Additionally, we are the only program that takes multiple follow-up EKGs after ibogaine is administered to detect electrocardiographic changes that can alert medical staff to lengthening of the QT interval. This condition can cause a life threatening arrhythmia if not detected and treated promptly. The EKGs are interpreted by our cardiologist who is on call for the first 48 hours post-treatment.

Most deaths on ibogaine over the past 10 years have occurred with patients being alone a couple of days after treatment so we provide continuous personal monitoring until the 4th day of treatment.

Our facility is equipped with a crash cart, defibrillator, pulse oximeters, and heart monitors in every room. More importantly, our staff is trained and experienced in dealing with complications associated with drug detoxification, especially those related to ibogaine therapy. During your ibogaine-assisted detoxification, our medical staff will be monitoring you closely to make sure you that you are comfortable and, most importantly, safe.

After completing your ibogaine detox, you’re welcome to relax in our sauna or watch the sun slowly set over the Pacific Ocean.
